Psalm 27:14
Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Over the past couple of weeks, as I tell people about moving to Germany, often the first things they ask are "how did you meet the family?" or "how did you decide to be an Aupair?". The funny thing is, since I was in middle school, I've always thought that being an Aupair would be neat! I have always loved the idea of traveling the world and living with a family and watching their children grow and being a part of their family. Before I decided that I wanted to go to EMU for Early Childhood, I seriously considered going to a school in Kentucky to be a certified nanny. Ultimately, I decided a degree in teaching would be a better option for me in the long run. But, I have always wanted to live overseas, travel and be apart of a family. God knew just what He was doing, and it has all been in His timing. Life is much sweeter when we follow God and the plans he has for us. Who knows where I would be if I went to that school in Kentucky! I love that He wants to give us the desires of our hearts; sometimes we just have to wait and watch Him work. His timing is perfect.
Psalm 27:14 Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

AuthorMy name is Lindsey. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Early Childhood Education in 2015 and moved to Germany as an Au Pair for a year! I love my Savior and my relationship with Him is most important. I also love traveling. I have been to the UK and Ireland, South Korea, China, Bosnia, Montenegro, and now Germany, Italy, Austria and France. I started this blog to chronicle my life as an Au Pair in Germany and my European Travels. My hope is that future Au Pairs would find my blog helpful and informative as they decide if they would like to be an Au Pair. Lindsey's Instagram:
