S a r a j e v oHostel: Hostel Mossimo is the best! It is very clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful! It was more like a hotel than a hostel. They have both private and dorm rooms. The beds are very comfortable and the staff will help you with anything you need! The location is perfect! There is a historic market, Markale, and grocery store across the street with fresh fruits and veggies and anything you need. It only takes about 5 minutes to walk to Baščaršija, the city center of Sarajevo! http://www.massimo.ba/hostel/en/index.php | Things to do and see in Sarajevo: Baščaršija: This is the center of town, the place to be. There are many restaurants, bars, gift shops, coffee shops and places to exchange money. It is always filled with people and a fun atmosphere! Don't forget to have some ice cream while you're here! |
1984 Sarajevo Olympic Bobsled Track- Bosnians are so proud of the Olympics and the Bobsled track is a fun place to visit! Head up Mount Trebević (you have to have your own transportation or get a taxi here) to see the abandoned track! It is such a unique part of the city, and as someone who loves the Olympics, a neat experience! |
Restoran Brus: Further up Mount Trebević, you will find Restoran Brus. We stopped here for our first Bosnian coffee, but they offer more including accommodations, sports and recreation. Also, just behind the restaurant, on the left, there is a stream with fresh mountain water. Go ahead and fill up your water bottle or just take a drink. Bosnian water is some of the cleanest in Europe. It tastes amazing! http://restoran-brus.com/eng/ |
Restaurants: La Scala- Italian food, and simply incredible! We really enjoyed our food here, everything was incredible! Interested in a drink, similar to a summer shandy, order a Raddler whenever it's listed on a menu! They are awesome! Sarajevska Pivara- Sarajevo's Brewery. Amazing food, great atmosphere including live music at night and great local brewed beer! Try the dark beer, you won't regret it! Great atmosphere and beautiful building! |

Foča:
Encijan Tourist Agency- Looking for some thrill and excitement on your trip to Bosnia. Meet up with Encijan tourist agency in Foča. You won't regret it! The campsite is great, with amazing food and a very laid back atmosphere. The rafting trip was incredible. Our guide was great and we even got to stop along the way for pictures and to play and explore in a waterfall. Since we were there in May, there were only a few other people staying at the camp, so we had the whole place to ourselves. We also hiked up Maglić, the highest mountain in Bosnia. The view from the top was incredible! Rafting and our hike was a great way to end the trip. I would recommend this to everyone who travels to Bosnia! Did I mention that you get to go through boarder control in Montenegro and cross the River Tara from Montenegro to the camp in Bosnia? (We did it at night!) http://www.pkencijan.com/en/ |
